Users review: Greetings again from the darkness. So before you accuse me that is worlds worst spelling, you should know that my water Wizzdom title is a play on words ... a water park in a movie called Water Wizz Owen and Sam Rockwell play man-Ninoa Liam James Duncan mentor. Duncan is 14 miserable years imprisoned in a house on the beach with her mother, her nasty boyfriend, and stretched daughter.Steve Carell plays Trent, condescending and bullying boyfriend no redeeming qualities that we see (except beach house and a nice tan). Duncan's mother is played by Toni Collette, and her character Pam is a divorced, single mother unsafe trying to balance his own happiness with her full teen anger. Pam and Duncan are out of this beach community as we learn faster when neighbor Betty (Allison Janney) appears with a drink in hand and gossip for signs all.The trite movies are all here ... we recognize the characters and their struggles, actually , we all know someone like each of the people who are co-authors and co-directors of Nat Faxon and Jim Rash moment for us. Quick to understand that this is another story of the coming of age of adults in their most clueless about. However, most still running. The writing and acting are such high quality that even though we live in a movie cliche? Country, we are still concerned about Duncan and Pam, Owen laughing and throwing tomatoes at Trent (Carell). Special thanks to Sam Rockwell. Although Duncan is the key character, Rockwells Owen admits that little faith and encouragement goes a long way. Behind the facade of rapid-fire jokes and laugh-inducing one-liners, Owen is coming to grips with the reality of life and broken dreams. And never stoops to the typical Hollywood won a speech Gipper, Owen manages to infuse some confidence in Duncan ... to the point that he refuses to leave his mother pretending that all is well with Trent. AnnaSophia Robb plays the cute girl next door, who recognized the potential in Duncan, but the filmmakers never let it become funny fairy tale. Instead we have characters who are each flawed but real and recognizable. While typical all parts are present, there is enough dialogue crackle and quality activities to help this rise above the usual dirt. It is a good alternative to the little giant summer blockbusters. Nat Faxon and Jim Rash won an Oscar for co-writing the descendants of Alexander Payne. In his directorial debut, to prove that they also have skills as filmmakers. The next one could be even better!
